“Psychodynamic counselling recognises the power of the past on the emotions of today.”

My approach is rooted in a psychodynamic perspective, which focuses on how childhood experiences and early attachment relationships shape our feelings, thoughts, and behaviors in the present.

 

Exploration can include getting in contact with buried feelings, unresolved conflict, and unquestioned beliefs that shape our day-to-day life. There is a focus on emotions and feelings while exploring the present and memories of the past.

 

We may also explore the emotional expression that happens in session between client and therapist. Working together, we are curious about looking at repeated patterns of experiences and relationships.​
